ANNAPURNA LIVING 2016: FIERCE GRACE
This is my favorite week of the year. Christmas is wrapped up and now we have this week of slowing down and simmering in that space of what we cherish and what we want to let go. The fire is being lit for New Year's Eve. For me, the inner fire starts to stir and I feel myself exploring my hopes and dreams for the year ahead.
I have big plans for Annapurna Living this coming year. I hope to grow this space with helpful and soulful courses for the women on the ground. I want to create a work schedule that is streamlined and functional so my beloved team can enjoy their lives and explore their own creative longings. I want to create space for myself so that, as I navigate my career as an actress and tend to my beautiful family, I can bring my energy to Annapurna Living in a way that fuels me and doesn't deplete. Thinking about all of this makes me very excited because I choose to live by these words from Yogi Bhajan: “If you want to master something, teach it.”
I will be sharing as I learn, and I will reach my hand out to you if you want to come along, too.
This past year we embraced Annapurna, the goddess of nourishment. We inhaled the sacred exhale. We gave ourselves permission to stop, to put our feet up, to say enough is enough. We got off the hamster wheel and took our lives in both hands and asked ourselves, “How will we NOURISH this life?”
In 2016 we will continue to explore this and we will add another layer. Annapurna is also one of the most difficult and dangerous mountain ranges to climb. What does it take to climb such a mountain? Discipline, strength, preparation, focus and desire. Let's lean into the discipline it takes through strength and grounding to achieve our dreams—a nourished, fierce life.
A peek at the upcoming year on Annapurna Living...
I will be offering The Year of Fierce Grace.
Fierce grace is my desire to uplift and inspire you to meet the challenging times we live in. To thrive. To bring yourself into your authentic power and grace.
We want to live from our hearts, and yet life happens and we shut down, we protect, we close ... what if our hearts stayed open regardless?
This is fierce grace.
We are no longer victims. We must take responsibility in our personal and collective lives. We must become the authority of ourselves.
Throughout the year I will also be interviewing soulful women and men entrepreneurs. How are these incredible women and men creating businesses that have integrity and soul? What are some of the systems they rely on? How do they do what they do? I want to know, and I think you do too!
I have also set goals for this upcoming New Year:
I will live my life with intention and creativity.
I will find ways to participate in my life fully, while also creating.
I will choose not to be distracted.
I will create the life I crave.
What will you do with your most stunning life?
Thank you for spending time in this virtual space. I hold it a great honor that you choose to read my words, and I hope that I uplift your life even in the tiniest of ways. You each inspire me. We may all have such uniquely different lives, but deep down we all want to feel connected to ourselves and to our living. I hope you will join me as we enter into this New Year ... The Year Of Fierce Grace.
